Last Shaft at Pitchcroft.

Description:

Last Shaft at Pitchcroft. 334 ft deep. It may have been used to man-winding the miners to the limestone levels which were part of 'The Great East Fault' - a seam of limestone running roughly north to south. The shaft is situated at the foot of the tall tree centre. (Courtesy of Shropshire Mining Club.)
