5 to 9 High Street. ‘Adams House Hotel’. Exterior, front. Also showing original 18th century cobbles. These were three properties and they were unified c. 1836 when J H Adams married Mary Ann Blakemore as a dowry gift. The timber framing on the end is 18th century, The original building/s was probably destroyed in the ‘Great Fire of Newport’ in 1665.
