67 High Street.

67 High Street. Exterior, front. Showing at the time of the photo: ‘Going Places’ travel agency – previously Addisons. This is one of the oldest buildings in Newport. There is 15th century timber framing on 1st floor. There was a 4th storey at the rear which was a warehouse in early 18th century (now gone). This building stood with a passage either side of it in the 15th century, and the building was extended over both passages, the final extension being completed in the 20th century (on south side).
