67 High Street. Interior, second floor. Showing roof timbers. This building survived the Great Fire of Newport in1665. It has no external walls to north and south. 15th century timber framing on 1st floor. There was a 4th storey at the rear which was a warehouse in early 18th century (now gone) .This building stood with a passage either side of it in the 15th century, and the building was extended over both passages; the final extension being completed in the 20th century (on south side).
