Nat West Bank. 19 High Street, Newport. Newport’s branch of the National Provincial Bank was the HQ of the original bank in the mid 19th century. It later became the National Westminster Bank in 1970. The bank building that you see today was built in 1937. On the left the original bank manager’s stables survive, although they are now used by the Boughey gardens and tennis court.
