Puleston Cross.
Description:
Puleston Cross. The cross was possibly constructed in 1299 when the Market Building site was agreed by the King, and was named in memory of Roger de Puleston who died in 1294. It is sited in front of Mason's Confectioners, Middle Row. Middle Row was originally called 'Rotton Row' ('route de roi'), but, by the middle of the 19th century, civic pride caused the name to be changed.Date: 1996
