Mothers and children protesting about traffic on Newport High Street. Their protest was a 'pram crocodile', during which their pushed prams and buggies down Newport High Street and across two zebra crossings. Mums chanted " Juggernauts must go!" and "We want a bypass". The marchers brought the town to a standstill. The march was led by Professor Arthur Plowman, who was the county councillor for the Newport.
