26 High Street. Previously the 'White Lion Inn'. Exterior, front. This is first mentioned in 1804 and closed in 1863. Daniel and Mary Taylor were the licensees in 1843. The pub had four cottages at the back occupied in the 19th century chiefly by Irish labourers.
