The Robinson Family. Robinson's watch, clock and china business off Wellington Road corner. Sitting on the right is Frederick George Robinson - the founder of the family business. He started the business at 2 - 4 High Street as a watch maker and jeweller; then moved to 41 Upper Bar in about 1910. Sitting in the centre, laughing, is Dora, his wife. On her left is their daughter Nora and her husband, Ted Brock. Leaning on the chair on the left, their son - Frederick Alan - stands to the right and his wife - Hazel - stands in the centre. Frederick took over the business. The small children are from the left: Roger Brock, Rosemary Brock, Christine Robinson and David Robinson. In the 1960s, when Frederick became ill, Hazel opened the china and glass shop at no 4 as well.Date: 1949
