Description:

Entrance to canal tunnel at Lilleshall Incline. Abandoned in about 1790. The tunnel extends 213ft to the foot of a shaft up which goods, mainly limestone, where hauled to the top canal. The shaft has now been filled in. Courtesy of Shropshire Mining Club.
