Description:

1 Station Road Newport. The "Station Masters House" from the mid 19th century until closure of Newport railway station in 1960's. The house seems to have an earlier core but was rebuilt circa 1800 in Regency style with typical low roof and pediments in classical style. Exterior, south elevation showing small "cottage" section, perhaps the original building with small panes of glass in sash windows.
