The Olde Times stage coach. This ran from Birmingham via Wolverhampton to Lilleshall Hall pleasure gardens from c. 1920-1939. Outside the ‘Fox and Duck’ at Pave Lane, near Newport on its way to Lilleshall Hall. The coachman heralded the arrival by blowing his horn rounding the bend at the old ‘Horse and Jockey’ pub (Norwood House Restaurant until 2008) at Pitchcroft lane corner. W J Hendy was the licensee of the ‘Fox and Duck’ at the time.
